Contracted DJs and Bands
Information and Participation Form
The thought leaders at The Festivals of Art, Thought, and Culture ( the “Festival”) are proud to integrate music, art, dance, dialogue, education, social causes, business, fashion, empowerment, and entertainment all into one social stream of consciousness that we collectively call The Culture. We do this by offering in-person and online events and by offering a platform to artists, speakers, community groups, etc. who participate within The Culture.
If you are a DJ or Band and you are interested in a full performance session at one of the Festivals, please note that this is a two-step process:
Step 1: Please read the information below and submit your contact information. We will review and contact you within five business days.
Step 2: Upon selection, a festival affiliate will contact you to complete the Performing Artist, DJs, & Designers form which will contain the terms, consent, and will allow you to submit your profile information.
Contracted DJs
1. Multiple DJs will be scheduled by the Festival’s DJ Coordinator. The Coordinator will advise the participating DJ of start times, stage, and the music theme/genre for each stage
2. DJs will only need to bring turntable equipment and a mic/stand. DJs will plug directly into our house system. Any other technical needs will be addressed by our tech crew https://www.atcfestivals.com/tech-crew/
3. DJs must be fully set up and ready to spin 45 minutes before their session starts
4. Please refrain from the use of heavy profanity in your playlist and refrain from songs with overt sexist, racial, homophobic, or degrading content
5. After the DJ receives confirmation of a specific festival, performance day, and time from the DJ Coordinator, the DJ will need to submit their profile to https://www.atcfestivals.com/performing-artists-djs-and-designers-form/ so that the Festival can promote your session. We would appreciate it if you would likewise promote the festival through your social media networks.
6. The DJ will receive a talent stipend for services provided. Below are the details:
a. Festivals generally occur on the 3rd weekend of the month
b. By the 1st of the following month, the DJ to submit an electronic invoice for services rendered
c. All festival stipends are paid out by the 2nd Monday of the following month in the form of electronic payment. We do not pay invoices in cash.
Contracted Bands
1. All contracted bands are selected by festival organizers
2. We are currently only scheduling contracted bands for the Thursday night kickoff event, “The Opening Bell”
3. Thursday’s set will be 1.5 -2 hours with a 20-minute break
4. All genres of music are considered and appreciated
5. All sound/line checks for all artists occur on the Wednesday evening, prior to the Thursday kickoff. Please see below for detail regarding the sound/line check:
a. All talent who will perform during the entire three-day festival will have their sound/line check on Wednesday evening prior to the festival
b. Each performer has 20 minutes on the sound stage to check their levels
c. Note: Please ensure that your group checks in 30 minutes in advance of your scheduled time as the engineers will be on a production schedule and It is unlikely that sound your line check can be rescheduled
6. Drums, bass guitar amp, and lead guitar amp are provided by the house and will be used by all artists; however, drummers may bring their own snare and foot pedal if they wish.
7. There will be multiple lines available to quickly plugin keyboards, drum machines, etc.
